Lei Jun, CEO of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer unveiled Redmi 2A and Mi Note at an event in China. The Xiaomi Redmi 2A has been launched at CNY 599.00 (approximately Rs. 6,000.00) and is being offered at a special price of CNY 499.00 (approximately Rs. 5,000.00) on April 8 in China to commemorate its anniversary. The Xiaomi Mi Note (Pink Edition) 16GB has been priced at CNY 2,499.00 (approximately Rs. 25,000.00.) Redmi 2A is almost similar to Xiaomi’s flagship Redmi 2 except for the CPU. Redmi 2A will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Leadcore (L1860C) Cortex-A7 processor with 1GB of RAM while Xiaomi Redmi 2 is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Cortex-A53 processor with 1GB of RAM.
