With an view to revamp its customer service mechanism in India, OnePlus made the announcement of extended warranty support for its OnePlus One and forthcoming smartphones for Indian users on its blog. For Indian buyers, the OnePlus One has been a huge hit but on the support side it has been lacking proper customer service. Many of the OnePlus One users have reported that they have had trouble with OnePlus and its customer support, with many preferring to return the device then go through the harrowing experience that was presented with repair. With the latest announcement, OnePlus is trying to make amends with its Indian buyers. On the the India front, OnePlus India has announced an extension of 3 months to the warranty period if service related issues remain pending in the customer support center for more than 15 days. However, in case of disagreements on the devices on which this advantage is applicable, OnePlus will have the final call. The Extended Warranty is a policy program from OnePlus and will extend to its future OnePlus 2 smartphones as well. OnePlus has also added a dedicated toll free number for customer support 8008 522 008 for Indian buyers.
