An update on GitHub suggests that only Chrome 41 is vulnerable to AwSnap! and Google has patched the bug on Chrome v42 and v42 Proof of Concept of the bug Reddit thread by Jblatt seems to confirm that the bug works on any PC listed above
Like the earlier Chrome hack reported by Techworm, this bug can also be used by pranksters to cause mischievous harm on thread and website. However it does not constitute a serious risk to Chrome and has been patched by Google in subsequent versions.
